Greg Wilson at Mr. Saturday Night
Went to hear Greg Wilson play at Mister Saturday Night. He was great. The crowd could have been dancing a bit more, but this is normal for Mr Sat Night parties. A little too much standing around looking cool. Funny that the last time I went out it was to hear DJ Harvey at Santos a week ago. Both of them are super old school UK DJs. Here’s some tracks I heard that were amazing:
Greg played a dub of this. Sounded incredible.
Greg played with a reel to reel. He was using it for effects. Much like in this video from 1983(!!!!).
I think he played this for 10 minutes, much to my delight.
Eamon played a bunch of disco. I was kind of weirded out that no one sang along with Jackie Moore. Pretty much every time I’ve ever heard this out the DJ turns it down so the whole club sings along. But then again those crowds have 20+ years more time spent on dancefloors but I digress.
